Aviation Insurance Coverage for Commercial and Private Operations

Do your clients fly airplanes for business or pleasure? This activity comes with some inherent risks, which means that helping them obtain sufficient liability insurance can be challenging. At Prime Insurance Company, we specialize in insuring these types of activities that are considered high-risk. If your client has been nonrenewed, canceled, or declined coverage elsewhere, we can step in and provide coverage. We can even offer aircraft insurance to individuals or businesses with a less-than-stellar claims history.

We Provide Custom Aviation Insurance Solutions

We offer coverage for commercial and private operations and customize the plan for the very specific needs of the insureds. Property coverage for aircraft and passenger(s) if grounded, grounded not in motion, and in-flight or transport. Liability, hull, and physical property coverage have been provided for many types of aircraft including experimental and home-built aircraft. We have customized coverage for Aviation Associations, Clubs, Flight Schools, and others who are considered a hard-to-place risk.

In addition, we have provided coverage for hangar liability, events, and demonstrations such as: Experimental Enthusiasts Events, Group or Club Member Fly-Ins, Public Air Shows, and Skills Competitions.

Coverages

Available personal and commercial aircraft insurance coverages include:

  • Commercial Liability: These general liability plans protect business owners from injuries or damages sustained by third parties due to the policyholder’s negligence.
  • Customized Specialty Liability Coverage: This insurance lists and covers the specific risks that impact the policyholder.
  • Drones: With the increasing use of drones for commercial use, this coverage is essential for protecting against mishaps during their operation.
  • Excess Coverage Available: We can provide liability coverage over and above that of a base policy.
  • Hangar Liability: Also known as hangar keepers liability, this coverage protects hangar and airfield owners and operators in the event of damage to the aircraft or property while the plane is in the policyholder’s custody.
  • Hull: This insurance does not provide liability protection. Instead, it covers physical damage to parts and components affixed to the aircraft.
  • In-Flight or Transport: This insurance pays for damages that occur while the aircraft is in motion.
  • Non-Owned Aircraft: These plans provide liability and hull insurance coverage when the policyholder is renting an aircraft.
  • Personal Liability: This type of insurance safeguards the policyholder’s personal assets if a lawsuit or claim settlement goes against them.
